The principles guiding our work
Six principles underpin Regenopolis’ approach:

Understand the wider ecological, social, economic & institutional system before optimizing individual interventions.
2. Strengthen relationships, not components
A regenerative place does not emerge from making each individual sector more sustainable. It emerges when the relationships between systems become stronger
3. Treat communities as economic actors & co-creators
Communities are not simply beneficiaries. They hold knowledge, capabilities, assets and agency and should participate in shaping and capturing value.
4. Work with existing systems
Regeneration does not necessarily require creating new organizations or programmes. Often the opportunity lies in connecting existing actors, assets and capital differently.
5. Connect impact & economics
Environmental and social value should not automatically be treated as external to financial performance. Regenopolis seeks to understand where improvements in natural and social capital can reduce risk, strengthen productivity or generate long-term economic value.
6. Build for stewardship
The objective is not simply successful project delivery, but the long-term capacity of a place and its actors to continue evolving.
